French?...it's a Vauxhall aint it?

oops thought i saw a renault badge there for a sec vauxhall is worse than french imho :x:

I would say the focus, but not in the orange. When we were looking at new cars we were deciding on getting one of the 2 of those, finally decided on the Civic Type R.

But the end result was get 2 cars, a C2 VTS for her and the Z for the both of us, ahem, me!! I personally think buying a new car is a waste of time. Did it, done it, never again. Think of the typical depreciation curve.

If I was you, save the money from a new car and get a Civic Type-R which is a couple of years old. Much more reliable, IMO doesnt look as good as both of those.

Goodluck

VXR cos its got more power!!!

Shame its Ghey wheel drive thou!!

Astra looks great I think

I Hate focus

Civic type R is Fantastic I have had on for a weekend

But I prefer the looks of the Astra and it must be fun at 240 brake

THROUGH THE FRONT WHEELS

If you "must" have either of these, then I voted Vauxhall as I would never have a Ford EVER.

The Focus does get a good write-up though and has a Volvo engine. Astra is faster but suffers from massive torque steer. Also Astra is better looking IMO.

Personally if I had to chose from that class I would pick a Civic Type-R or the new Golf GTi. A little more upmarket would be an Audi S3, good 4x4 handling....

Your choice though mate.

Richard :)

I have something to say............ It's better to burn out than to fade away..... :tt2:

regal do an upgrade for the astra £2000 for 340 horses lol

I normally prefer vauxhalls t fords but that focus is really nice. Shes a lucky girl what ever one you get.

if she gets one you mean lol

keeps her from asking to drive the zed :x:

Thats an expensive way to do it, the other way is just say no! Works for me.

I gave mine back

have you seen the brand new civic looks fookin ace IMO the one with the glass stretching from the headlights across the grill and seems well versatile aswell and the dash looks tops aswell.

my mates just bought the 1.8se does 48mpg and 0-60 in 8.7sec

She wants to drive your zed?! Buy her the damn car, quick! LOL! Astra is major fun and a lot more comfortable drive than the focus, the focus gives you back and kidney pains after about 50 miles! And is a really bumpy ride! Watch out for them stones, remember, bones don't break in a ford, they shatter!

The Focus is supposed to handle really well but it looks sort of dull. I would get a Vauxhal VX220. Not remotely practical but you can wash down the interior with a hose if it gets dirty lol.

I dont get the 'must buy a brand new car' thing. For the last 15 year cars have been put together ok. I would get a 3-5 year old 'practical' car anyday over a new car.

Get her a second hand Lotus Elise at that price you'd get a beauty and then you kna nick her car. Ace to drive, but don't get seen in it.
