Sorry dude! It's Friday!! Re-read a few times now and I can say - they're pretty hot!! There's a slim chance of it slipping through, problem is you'd be stuck with the plate afterards if they did notice it!!

The only way I could see of doing it would be to appeal against the current registration on you car... but that would be fraud, and dodgy letters from people in the know etc etc, and you can't do that :wack: Or at least I didn't tell you to!!

Hi mate,

You cannot put an M plate on a 1990 car - DVLA regulations clearly state you cannot make the car appear newer than it is. If you buy a reg from DVLA direct they ask what year of car you are going to put the plate on and warn you of the law before you hand over the money.

They then remind you of your legal obligations for mis-representing the letters/numbers and even ask why you want those specific initials. You get one last chance to change your mind before entereing into a legally binding contract to buy the plate and promise not to break the law on displaying it.

I've bought 3 from them over the last 5 years and the process has always been the same.

Richard

I have something to say............ It's better to burn out than to fade away..... :tt2:

Even if you bought the number when you took it to your local licencing office and applied for the munber to be put on your car they would refuse because you have to surrender your log book and tax disc and get issued a new one with the new reg on it? Therefore they would know straight away what was going on.
