Anyone know what the steering wheel boss screw thread sizes are?

Are they M3 M6 ???

I need some new screws and from Demon Tweaks theyre gonna cost me about £10 for 6 screws.

Screwfix Direct sell some (albeit not chrome heads) for £2.50

Just not sure of the sizes needed.

Thanks

found out meself

They're M5

next question

Do they need to be hi-tensile?

All bolts past 8.8 are classed as high tensile mate. You do'nt find many that are not high tensile I used to work for a fixings company. So basically yes go for HT bolts. Also most socket head bolts are 12.9 High Tensile so even stronger.

I just ordered some stainless - been told theyre not high tensile.

Spoke to momo and they told me they use normal steel socket button screws - not hi-tensile.

S/S is not high tensile but is strong.

Standard back socket headed bolts Momo will find are 12.9 breaking tensile.

whaddya reckon to using s/s then mate? be ok?

Yeah mate I have got S/S socket head screws on mine, and I belive the tensile difference between high tensile is only minimal.
