i worked with smith and mighty when i lived in bristol i used to live on "frontline" city road.. there was a nice jamacan cafe on the corner i used to get my jerk chicken from and rice.

 

s&m used to own a place on ashley road it used to be a shop. they closed all the windows off and set up in there recording stuff.

 

thats where i met roni before he was famous and all... going back years though. one of my friends is the engineer for massive attack, they used to have a studio up in clifton. moved now. i know the guys from massive atack also nice guys.. when the old bill tried to fit robert up for child porn it was fookin nuts, turned out he never had any and it was some shithead who reported it.. so now he doesnt let anyone get too close.

 

but yea roni is great, some nice stuff this year soon, i have already heard some dub plates

yes theres an album due and a few one offs..

I'm quite a fan... or at least discovered I quite liked him fairly recently when my mate was playing some of his stuff in the car on the way to France. Bristol's a bit out of the way for me though unfortunately. Enjoy the gig mate.
