February 12, 200224 yr Are them 'versing lights actually a stipulated legal requirement? If I covered em up would PC Plod pull my ear and say "ere u ain't got no versing lights, uR nicked!. So who knows then???
February 12, 200224 yr yes as far as i know, you need them to pass an MOT,(otherwise how would anybody no you are reversing). sorry m8
February 12, 200224 yr actually, you dont need them for MOT. i take my car to a real strict mot tester, and it has passed twice without them, they are not part of the test mine havent worked for 'kin ages now, and i cant be bothered to crawl about underneath to find the wire..... makes it even more difficult than normal to reverse tho i think the only legal requirement with them would be the bulb colour
February 12, 200224 yr Coogs mate, I dont know about the legality of reversing lights but if you are driving at night then try turning your car around and flooring it in reverse. You will be able to see alot better with the reversing lights than stock crappy headlights. Why I even bothered to type that crappy shot at humour i just dunno - Coogs has the bacofoil on his headlights so he can see where he is going LMAO! -- Glen
February 12, 200224 yr There ain't many lights dimmer than std headlamps but the 'versin lights are one of em. It must never get dark in Japan. Maybe thats why it's called the land of the rising sun...
February 13, 200224 yr did some checing today. It seems that reversing lights are optional. There are very few regs. The main ones are you can't have more than 2, they must face rear, must be white light and not more than 24w per lamp. That's it. Given they don't light anything up when you use em I might lose mine for the sake of art...
