Coincidence?

Two weeks ago I fitted my Zees EX exhaust. Today whilst accelerating flat out in fourth gear on a local dual carrigeway, my f@@@@@@ clutch began to slip frown.gif .

This happened to somebody else here didn't it?

Anyway, what are your views/experiences with aftermarket clutch plates? Good or bad?

Can anyone reccomend a good friction plate? I don't need flywheel/pressure plate.

How do they compare to new a Nissan plate??

Many thanks in advance.

p.s. its nice to have the forum back!

Nissan stock plates are only good for the stock power.

I hear after Stage 3 your clutch will only last till the end of the week if you are licky.

I would go with a different make. I dont think buying them costs much but haveing them put on is expensive.

Hello Jan. Have you got that K&N on yet????

A Zees EX exhaust is from Japan. www.zees.co.jp

It is made from mild 3" bore mild steel pipework that is mandrel bent. Stock is 2" pipe. Straight through silencers, oh and the small matter of two 5" diameter tail pipes smile.gif smile.gif smile.gif

As a direct conversion from Yen>£ = £600.

Jeff TT & Topsquads are you listening?

I bought this from a breaker in Brum, Optimum Autos, Energas Industrial Estate. 300zxTT import smashed hard pass. side.

Cost? £95+vat. Sorted!!!

A few pics for you. Enjoy.

Glen

That's a big exhaust. Is that price including shipping or did you get it from a dealer here? I'll be needing a new one soon myself. Is it from the Cats back for that price?

Nice picks of the clocks. Id be worried though about the temp guage. Suggests your fuelling, and timming maps not correct in the ECU.

Unfortunately, the pictures of the clocks aren't mine frown.gif

But as for the clutch, I guess the 'zorsts just pushed it over the edge!!

And no comments about 'you should have bought an auto' either smile.gif LMAO !!!

Not to worry, I'll just drive like a granny (on ACID wink.gif ) 'till I get a new clutch in it.

So Glen, does that make us a right pair of arses then??? The bigger the better is wot I say!!!!

One more pic I left off.

ChrisC I got this exhaust from a breaker in Brum. It was on a crashed Jap import. By chance I found the website, and the retail price for Japan.

I have never seen another Z with this pipe on before, so I assume they don't export to UK.

Don't you just love all the nutters that inhabit this forum??? smile.gif smile.gif smile.gif

See you all soon,
