Ive noticed Im losing petrol through or around the filler cap.

It seems to be when I drive car hard, I stop and I have a patch of petrol around the cap on the rear arch. Is the cap meant to have a rubber seal on it? It turns and locks but can still be moved out by a couple of mm.

Or does it sound like a breather problem?

Cheers

thnk yami had the same problem and i also think fuel spilling onto her rear wheels is what caused her car to crash last year.

That aint normal

Wow Jay those rear arches look amazing. Sorry it's slightly off topic but would you mind me asking where they came from & roughly how much it cost to get them fitted? Did you get the car fully resprayed at the same time? Looks very very nice

I to found a large puddle of fuel dumped on the floor after doing handbrake turns i found a large hole at the top of the feed pipe that goose to the tank, However i put in the air and took it of and found more holes than a pair of tarts knickers. going to dealer later found out damage just for a laugh.

Arches were done when I bought it matey, think theyre strosek.

Is it normal for there to be small gap on cap. I thought It should have a rubber seal and seal real tightly.

May have to remove rear wheel and unscrew shrouding and have a little look soon.

sounds like a seal is missing as the tank supposed to be pressurised for the fuel injection system iirc

CJ where did you get your mirrows with indicators from please?

they were just generic ones off the internet - but all the back plates had to be made from scratch which was a bit of a bugger

Surely all the w/ass car's have an extention for the filler?-probably this that's leaking?
