last sat i bought myself a Harmon Kardon AVR335 AV amp, ive got 2 B&W 602 series speakers and im getting an active B&W sub woofter this weekend.

my question is, do i get bigger speakers for the rear and keep the 602's at the front, or get small speakers for the front and put the 602's at the rear?

i have no idea how to set all this stuff out, but some one on here must know.

Cheers

You'll want the bigger speakers at the front, small at the rear as the rears are only surround speakers !

Most important speaker (IMO) is the centre one that deals with all the speech. I reckon that on my system 60% of the sound comes from there - buy a good one.

60% of my sound comes from my 250watt(RMS) sub-woofer  :hyper:

i was looking at centre speakers but because the room is facing the corner its getting somewhere to put it so its not looking awkward but still central to the sofas, at least with a sub, it can go pretty much anywhere cos the bass will travel regardless

Really needs to be above or below the screen, as you say the sub can go more or less anywhere though.

The main type of surround you need to go for is a bi polar surround speaker. Do not go for a coventional type speaker , as these create a hotspot effect, which is not good....The store mentioned above is pretty good (as I work in one!! ) I suggest if you have b&w all round so far , stick with them on the surround...better tonal balance...
