Ignition key won't release

Hi guys

 

Has anyone changed their original auto shifter and had a problem getting thier ignition key out afterward as the steering wheel wont lock and the release button is not allowing it to release.

    Sounds like the micro-switch isnt engaging properly, I'd say it will require an adjustment of the seating position.

     

    Sorry it's not much help, but I think it's really down to just getting back in there and seeing what you can adjust, unless you havent re-connected the wiring ;)

    Buddy, im sure i had this problem when i fitted my turbo timer. I had to cut a wire to the switch (solinoid) behind the ignition barrel itself. Bugger can i remember which wire it is. I just remember it was quite easy to spot. I will try and find it.
