Nope, not bought it. Just worried about what can go wrong and as there is no mention of an uprated oil cooler for the auto' that might be the weak link? Everything else seems to have a decent lifespan left on it, not really sure but after spending as much on mine as I paid for her I'll feel a bit :xxx: if I say it's great and goes the way mine did!

i don't think the uprated cooler is an emergency, just advisable

don't forget most of these cars are 10-15 years old and most imports are STILL running on the original oil cooler, so not as if they are all going to go bang straight away, like any auto box depends how its driven, or how it has been driven, and an abused auto is just as likely to go west with an uprated cooler

also they have far hotter weather in japan than we do, as i said it IS sensible to upgrade when possible, if some chav has been ragging the arse out of the box then don't hold your breathe :(

IT'S A SMALL WORLD!!

Bit of a long story but the guy who now owns this car is called Lance (lives in/near Chepstowe). His best mate (Duncan) baught my last car (prelude) off me last October under the advisement of Lance who has a Prelude also, so he came along to examine mine. I had come down to south Wales last weekend to deliver some spares to Duncan that I had lying around from the old prelude when Lance turned up in this car. It really is as good as it looks and the interior is a real jaw dropper. However, as a comfort to you guys worried about resale prices; please note the action did not reach the reserve. I happen to know that Lance paid just a little less than the "buy it now" price for it :)

 

I did tell him to get his butt on the forum too, so hopefully we'll hear from him soon.

Back in november I was willing to pay a lot more for it but the seller at the time had to pull out for personal reasons.

 

I still think it was a bargain,even for Auto n/a . Whoever has it now ,happy motoring, you've got one very good example :)
