My zed is burning oil. It ONLY does it at idle and it is worse if the engine is cold, the longer the journey the less it seems to burn. I still have pressure which appears to be at normal levels. It does not burn enough that I have to re-fill the oil but obviously it needs fixing. Its embarrassing to be stuck in traffic smoking like an iraqi oil well.

I just had boost jets and re-map and a full stainless system but have only driven the car a couple of times since this was all done and have driven it slowly as the clutch is about to be replaced.

I pray its not the turbos but it does not seem to smoke when on boost, only at idle.

Valve seals? Anyone know how much this might cost if it is the valves?

PCV's? The valve seals? I was desperatly hoping that the way to tell if it is turbo seals is if the car smokes on boost, it doesnt. So I am clutching at straws but am I right?

common problem when from cold on first startup is valve stems, but could also be the breather systym or as said worn seals on the tubbies, when your up mate,we can look it over :)

Okay mate. Am going to take it to my warranty garage to try to get them to fix it but I dont really trust them and I am pretty certain they will just blame it on the turbos as it was agreed to take them off the warranty when the boost was upped. Am I going to hurt it majorly by driving it as it is an hour and half trip when I bring it to you.

To check if its turbos: Remove the rubber hoses/pipes before the throttle bodies. If they are oily then is most likely that your turbos are going bad.

Block PCV valves can cause white smoke as well as bad oil seals.

PCV valves is quite easy to change but oil seals needs $$$ and time.

Thanks, I will!
