I bought mycar 2 yearsago. It is a red 1990 Gplate Nissan 300 ZX UK spec. When Ibought the car I knew the turbos were not good. So I sent away for reconditioned turbos and had them replaced with a reputable mechanic. Thiscost me nearly£2000 as youcan appreciate I could afford much more. Thecar seems to backfire sometimes and does not run correctly, ie no power hardly. I have heard it may be the timing belt has slipped a digit -could this be the case and I have also adjusted the hycas to no avail. Could anyone please advise on my course of action.

sounds more like PTU failure or dirty injector connector,do a search for PTU and you can see how to fix etc, then go from there

pull each coil pack out with car running if the revs dont drop on that particular cylinder, then thats the one at fault
