hello to all members ! just found the site looks good . Trouble with my staying power ? she runs up to temp form cold and then stalls and cuts out any ideas ? checked the connections all over the engine but no better ....air flow meter was dirty due to a old engine problem (piston rings completely nackerd) full engine rebuild . Was running like a dream on new engine for 600miles then started this trouble :headvswal

Does it start rite away after stalling or do you have to wait a few min and then it will start all of a sudden?

 

Could be PTU failer. But then im never rite about these kind of things!

spot on with that ..stall and then after a few mins fires up agian and will run for a bit then same agian

The Fault you described is very common with Series 1 ptu's. The Series 2 PTU is far more reliable and was a Nissan Recall replacement on all U.S Zed's, but Nissan never saw fit to making the recall in UK or Japan.

Price is around the £120-£150 mark I believe

 

Failing that, working S1 PTU;s often pop up for around £40-£50 in the Parts for sale section

Hi bud ive got a S2 ptu £150 delivered, mike at mjp sell these for £180 plus vat and delivery.

Yea my PTU went bought a S1 from Nad as I dont want to spend too much on getting one.
