Going to install three gauges in the conter console under my stereo.

I've found these ones as they have two in one HERE

Thought it would be good cause I could have:

Water pressure/temp

Oil pressure/temp

Boost.

They are mechanical so will need to run pipes, they come in 7foot, 9foot for 12foot. Anyone know what length i'd need?

Also, if its a mechanical temp how do they work?? cause if its just one pipe to the gauge I cant work out how the temp would read properly.

Matey, just had a look and the first dial says that you get 7bsp pipe and 7 ft of temp wire. I would go for electrical myself. Less hassle!

I would ask one of the traders, I'm sure they could offer you something similar or better for reasonable rates plus advice!

From what I can gather they are back entry guages, ie they have a bsp (british standard pipe) thread on the back check to see if you will have enough space for adaptors for these behind your fitting plate. No doubt 1/8" which are standard on gauges I use in work. You will get a much better seal using these where the hose joins to a connector. Buy some PTFE tape to go with it to help even more. One thing to check though, if you are going to use a sandwich plate make sure you are able to get one with bsp fittings coming out of it, same with the t-pieces for the boost hoses.

I like the idea of 2 gauges in one, but I like to have more to look at.

LOL, gadgets are great but I dont want gauges in a pod down the door or above the centre console in a pod.

I quite fancied tucking them away in that little slot.
