I think that's right.

 

 

But driver ability will come into it and we're all fairly equal but not experts.

 

I wonder if the RX8 will suffer with all it's power at the top of the rev range - it's the area under the curve, not the highest point that matters for most people who are'nt expert drivers.

 

Mine is the slowest Z - and it has 17" wheels with cheap tyres on which won't help.

if you said rx7 i would say that would have beaten the 300zx but i wouldnt have guessed that the rx8 would... surprised

I like the RX7...the MR2 and MX5 are hairdressers cars...

I agree. mr2's are gay and the mx5 really cant accomidate any normal size bloke... so def a womans car..

the rx8 is not to my taste with its suicide doors and just the idea of "lets try to make it a family car" its just stupid with 4 doors.... my opinion only...

the rx7 (which i had one) was great... yes it had 2+2 like my NA but you knew they were impractical and couldnt fit anyone or anything....... so no extra doors were added...

Someone once said to me that the RX7 was a timebomb due to the engine needing rebuilding at 60K...and the design which made it very unreliable, is this true? I really like the RX7 and also the RX8 even with the doors. The RX7 2.6 TT is deffo a cool car. How does it's performance match the zed?

 

I think the RX8 looks cool when modded, I saw one with wide arch kit etc and it was nice...

I wont try to put figures on here.. I can safely say that the early rx7TT was a time bomb. And yes you do need to service them regularly.. being a ****le engine....

but its the same as the zed dont abuse it all the time and it wont abuse you...

 

as far as performance.. I have to say I know it will beat my NA.. and also being stock and having a 300zx stock... i gotta say it prob will beat that... sadly.

you can tune them to all fook.... safely... replace the rotor to a 6 point.. and tada instant huge power..and because most electronics are easily adjustable .. again huge gains with adding on simple mods like filters etc and fuel pumps... then adjust on your pc and bobs your uncle.....

some of the cars i seen the last of the rx7s.... ie 3rd gens... they can go to 1000bhp... most when i was on the forum had them at around 700bhp and they were safe to drive without replacing bits every time you drove it....

but stick with your zed.... its better... even though i still love my 2nt gen.

i miss it :(

not too hot on my mr2's but if that was a tubbie then surely it would come 2nd and leave the NA Z 3rd.

No turbo version of the new Mr2's, as far as I know

 

 

..but if it had been the old shape Mr2 Turbo, then it would come first, and leave the Rx8 and 300zx NA way behind.

would still be a hairdressers car tho...
