Just been to start up after 3 months undercover (the car -not me!), has now developed a light tapping in the top of the engine which wasn't there before.

Its 'loudest' when idleing decreasing as the revs increase upto about 2-3K when it seems to go away. Is this gungee oil ?

I had the same problem, gave it a good run and the tapping went.I tend to run the car only on sundays over the winter and then it may only be to turn the engine over for 10 mins if the weather is bad. Mine was getting ready for an oil change too, did that and as said she runs sweet. Give yours an oil change and Im sure you will solve your problem! :D

sounds like a sticky lifter, check your oil level and make sure theres plenty of decent oil there and give a few revs and it should move it, if not then you need to get it checked out
