been loosing coolant latey and starting to get worst, its coming from the rear of the engine and does'nt seem to be the 2 hoses going to the heater matrix :confused:

 

does anyone have an idea where it maybee coming from its my tt auto :bow:

could be the turbo hoses.. the one on the drivers side of mine split so had to replace it took a little while to do but got it done fine.. so it could be one of those..

main culprit is the hose directly above bellhousing rear passenger side,remove battery and use jump leads so you can start car and directly below the EGR intake on the manifold is a small hose approx 4inch long which feeds the passenger turbo its hidden by a metal bracket which normally covers the EGR pipe and secures the o2 sensor lead to it,but as you have had the engine out it may not be there!tricky bit is removing the small metal clamp clips replace with silicone and reuse the metal clips,if this is where the leak is coming from

no :D driverside is driverside i mean passenger side feed,but could possibly be drivers turbo feed

 

did you have a water bypass when you had your engine out fastredz?that would rule out the under plenum hosing!

and flipping eck greg you were spot on with the pipe :bow: it does seem to be that one leaking all i need now is a voulanteer with small hands

go for it yes small hands helps,its the hose that should always be replaced,when either engine or gearbox is out,i got small hands but bit fay away,pop down my house mate :D
