I think this forum should do something to stop people being ripped off by so called dealers/ importers.

I think we should add a couple of sections to the forums list something like one called possitive feedback dealers and another called negative feedback dealers. It could run in a similar way to the for sale and wanted forums.

This way people can post their experiences that theyve had with zed dealers countrywide, and would provide invaluble info to newbies looking to buy zeds.

Im unsure of the legal implications of doing this, im sure a mod will know more, but there must be a way of naming and shaming the people who are giving the honest dealers a bad name.

It just disgusts me when i see people ripped off by dealers that are known to the rest of us for being dodgy.

Is there anything like this that we can set up or are our hands tied by the law??

This is a very good idea...

Yup, a lot of forums have these sections and they work well. Can use it for recommendations too.

I'm for it

very good idea

I think this is a fantastic idea!!

I bought my Z from guy who runs his own business, but knows what he's doing when it comes to imports!

At the moment he has a very nice (though I've not yet checked it out properly) Supra on the forecourt. He's a very honest chap (even replaced my autobox when the warranty was practically out!!) all in all a very honest, nice guy, ad I would recommend him!..Burley Street Garage in Hants. Top Bloke!

Legalality wise, I think the only problem could arise if an actual company is mentioned publicly (sp?) on the boards. I would suggest naming them only in PM's.

Or how about listing a list of all trader's good and bad and dont know. But only have a seprate link with only good feedback and comments. thus everyone can see for themself. that way you can eliminate neg feedback and pos law suites?

Why's that? Isn't it just peoples opinions. I'm sure nobody would complain when we make recommendations.

I would have thought that if you ONLY stick to the facts concerning a bad trader, (as in personal experiances only, and not hearsay) then there is nothing that they can do about it?!?!

Ah opinions is tricky, however actual facts is not. It does not matter who the company is, what happend or said, as long as it's ALL factual and ideally able to back up your statements just incase, then no probs what so ever.

Many forums have sections for good and bad experiences with both companies and individuals including ebay, am not aware of any problems with them.

cheers

Thats kinda what i meant. :D

It's definately a good idea! As long as it doesnt get silly. ie, what happened in the past with 'you know who'.
