after the southwest meet today I started to think that

our meets are no longer just about the car.

We have all seen eachothers cars now so many times

we know them inside out. The meetings seem to be

taking on a more personal and social side, which to me

is a good and positive feel, now I can bring the ICE QUEEN

along because it no longer quote "cars! cars! cars!"

And that meens more Meets :hyper:

I go to the meets more to see my mates (and perhaps meet a few new ones) rather than JUST talk about Zeds.

Mind you, there will always be a fair amount of Z talk, after all, they are great aren't they? ;) :D

i agree with the last statements but just remember when a new guy comes to a meet and he looks like he is lost please say hello. i have found it a bit uncomfortable at times turning up at meets and everyone has already grouped up having a laugh, and not approaching me or saying hi

just a thought guys dont get me wrong just its one of the reasons i go to meets well um to meet!

must admit that sheep rug was the talk of the meet matey, all you needed was a log fire and you could have been well away, I would have said that was only there to stop you getting sore knees but we all know your too old now for all that hankey pankey  :p ;)

I've not been to many meets, but the meets I have been to, I've become chatty to most and consider a number of them friends. It's a cracking community of which I've only been part of for a short period of time.

Long may it prosper. :duffer:

i turn up and they all take the piss outta me!!! but thats ok... wait till the wife gets hold of em!!!!!!!!!

WHO US NAH !! :D :D

On a slightly more serious note i know its a bit corny but i am still trying to think of some sort of I.D. that doesnt look like a fookin trainspotters convention, there was talk of a laminated card ?? maybe just clipped to coat, descretely of course. I do think that people are always embarressed to walk up and go " Hello i,m ........... on the forum whats your name !!??"

i really cant think of a cool way to do it........unless we ARE trainspotters !!

when the club merchandise is available i was gonna get my forum name printed on them somewhere :nelson:

Yep i would too i think it would certainly help in knowing who you are chatting to !

Looks like you all had great fun, I loved the vid :D. Would really loved to have been there....but as I'm just a noobie Z owner (she still needs lots of tlc), my Z would look so outa place compared to the supercharged Z's on the pics. However, my other hobby had priority last sunday (Liverpool FC) but I am gearing myself up for the feb meet.

Good point...I have not made it to a meet yet but will aim to...then all those that I have upset due to being opinionated can have a dig at me... :x:
