From what i hear, red stuff is not the way to go with these cars.

You want some porterfield carbon kevlars. They are the dogs. See smithy. :D

The bloke from whom I bought my Zed will get me the complete red brake set up for £400. so he said anyway?

I was told they are very noisey? But good? you know me not Mr technical at all.

Red stuff are fine if you like not being able to stop with cold brakes. Can push the stop pedal to the floor and the car will still roll along, and im not talking about going fast either 5 - 10 mph.

Once warm are good pads though.

nope, don't buy em, I hate EBC there known to make your discs crack.

I had brand new discs and EBC pad on front on my zed and the pads made my discs crack, Now ive just replaced all 4 with brembo's and PBR semi met pads (need to wear them in yet).

cant believe a set of pads cracked discs i have worked in the friction industry for 15 years and everytime this was tested on the Dyno it was always found to be faulty casts on discs this was found by using 10 of the same discs on the same set of pads and two discs cracked this caused by a weak wall section usually you can tell if the colour of the material where the crack is a real light grey.............

i have used reds for 6 years now including some trackys and pads have been superb

I can definately recomend smithy's porterfield pads (and DBA golds!). They are even better now they are properly worn in. They work well in the wet to.
