I have read this lot: Fuel line kits.

SAFETY FIRST:- Please release pressure in the fuel line system before you remove fuel lines.

Take note of where the 2 main fuel lines from filter go to across the plenum, e.g the regulator and fuel rail.

Remove all rubber hoses and metal fuel lines across plenum, keeping the small bolt that secures the metal lines to the plenum.

Fit the 2 new high pressure braided lines, pushing well on to regulator and fuel rail.

Position across the top of the plenum where the old lines were before and with the 2 rubber lined P-Clips, put each clip around each hose so that the openings face each other, lining up the bolt hole so that they are on top of each other, you can now secure to the plenum both clips with the bolt you have kept and into the same hole. Deep down under the Throttle cable cover is a very small length of line, remove this and re-fit using small piece supplied with hose bands. Simply fit the anodised separator where you think best suited. When you removed the hard lines, there was 2 pices of balck vacuum attached either side which now need connecting together, with the new silicone simply use this to replace these 2 bits in one go

Tighten all hose ends and Re-check every so often for tightness.

Pictures of these kits fitted can be found on my website or below in another sticky.

But how do you release pressure in the fuel line system  Sorry if its a stupid question :nelson:

You can pull the fuse in the box mounted by the brake servo and run it still it starts coughing

or

use the conzult :duffer:

Cheers mate, so I will have to wait untill engine mods are complete and can run it then?? No way I can release the pressure without having to start it??

eeerrrmmm

Only with a conzult bud....

unless you undo it and let it pi55 out :nelson:

Unless someone knows otherwise?

If I held a container close to the pipe how long would it pi55 out for?? I might just wait untill I can run it. Anyway how's your car coming along bud??

you can dude just disconnect green fuel pump relay drivers footwell and open fuel cap to let pressure out then tighten and also take the fuse which blackmagic has mentioned and your sorted.

ooooooooo....now yer asking.....

Quite a few minutes I reckon as it would have to clear the system of fuel nearly to depressurise

And it may just keep syphoning itself due to the nature of the system :(

And it would probably hiss everywhere as you undo the connection and doubt youd be able to catch it in a container :nelson:

##EDIT##...fuelcap...good idea :)

Now why didnt I think of that :duffer:

if i remember rightly just take the fuel cap off m8

once you release the fuel line it wont keep pissing out unless the ignitions on

if you don't release the pressure it will come out like your first jump :nelson:

Release the fuel cap and leave it for 10mins. Use something to soak the fuel up as it stills sprays for a second. Thats the cowboy way to do it,wheres my spurs? Or you could do the relay thingy like sensible people.
