This has come up a few times so I thought I'd take a few pics and measure up the 90 degree elbow I used to fit a sender unit in the 10mm hole near the oil filter.

The problem if fitting the sender straight into the hole is it will foul on the steering arm. To get round this I used a 90 degree elbow which is roughly 1"x"1 and a male to female. For my sender unit it was a 1/8" NPT fitting which I think is pretty standard. Wrap PTFE around the male ends about 3-4 times to make a tight fit.

Hope this helps.

Thanks for that vijay, very helpful, but my sender is 1/8 NPT are you sure it is 1/4 because if it is I will need a 1/8 to 1/4 adaptor. Also, anyone know where to get one from

are you sure? 1/8th is tiny. This is bugging me now lol. Now I seem to think you're right.

Stock nissan sender goes straight in here and should not touch the steering u/j.Done it several times after fitting ball bearing turbos with braided lines and never had a problem. Its close granted but wont touch.
