ordered these white ones for my rear indicator bulb replacement..... they are dual contact for stop and tail lights, but if you put some solder across the contacts then its really bright, makes the indicators look really bright and they look good.....

these led bulbs are the danglys i had them on mine before i had my accident and the bloody bodyshop threw them away with my rear lenses :headvswal

im waiting to get the cash to buy some more for my 99 specs.

 

just can't seem to find good enough ones for the indicator??

Correct me if I'm wrong, but haven't standard Stop and Tail (bayonet type) lamps got off-set locating pins, and the standard indicator lamp got opposing pins? If so, then how did you get them to fit properly?

 

 

You are right, they do have offset pins on the new bulbs and opposing pins on the indicator bulbs.......

 

to overcome this I ground the one pin off the bulb leaving one pin then gently squeezes the bulb holder with pliers to make it slightly smaller in circumference, the bulb slides in lovely and locks into place using the single pin.....

 

because I already put solder across the 2 connections on the base of the bulb there is no danger of no contact being made.....

 

My car is in storage and i'm going to do some more work on it next weekend, i'll take loads of pics for you then and put them in my rides section.....

Ultraled's are in the process now of manufacturing some yellow ones especially for clear rear lenses...... keep an eye of the site, or phone the guy and ask him to inform you when they are ready.......

I have used ultraled's befor and they are top. I bought the "capless" ones for my side lights and all the led's for my dash pod conversion. Top guy.

 

I got some for my rear indicators and thought they were very directional and flashed very quickly. These were the older ones without the side-pointing doides. Hmmm May have to try these after seeing the pics....
