I get the same thing have fitted a lightened pulley and belts are tightened correctly as well, only happens from cold for a few seconds tho

Happened with me too. I just popped underneath and gave them another quick tighten. All is quiet now.

The fiiting guide does recommend they are re-tightened after 100 miles.

lol same here.. does me bloody nut in! its a fair bit embarrassing

Nip into your local garage and get them to stick it on the ramp for 2 mins. Slip the boy a fiver, jobs a good yin.

ditto!

Same embarassing cold squeal on start up - so will ask my local garage to tighten the belts - is it a straight forward job and will a non Z garage know how to do it properly - I assume belts are belts regardless of the car make

easy peasy. They will have to remove the rear undertray and do it from underneath. Much easier that way
