looking for (in standard form!)..

power steering pot

water pipes

bonnet stay

and anything else worth doing

Also, does anybody know if battery boxes or brake servo covers are available anywhere?

I suppose i could get something like this for the battery

Would i have any problems with that?

I know its not chrome but theres this on Ebay:-

Carbon look battery cover

hmmmm... i kinda like that. Would look good with the stainless box. I like the plain one too.

I just wonder if it will fit the 300 because of those stupid clamp things.

hhmmm....yer...those poxy threaded studs are waaaaaaaaaaaay too long arnt they....you might have to either cut the threads down a bit or cut some holes in the cover...the latter would ruin the look though :(

You could check to see how short the threads would need to be and if the clamp still fits using a cutdown ice cream tub as a rough guide if you know what I mean?

##EDIT##

although with the threads coming through the top at least their would be a way of securing the cover :D

good call.

Howver, the cover might fit snugly over the battery with the studs on the outside if you know what i mean. But then the top clamp probably wouldnt fit? hmmm

I wonder if i could completely lose the studs and fit one of the bottom clamps like in a ford?

yup...know what you mean ..they give the size as 7x11" on ebay.

yer...should be able to mate...dont see why not....just make a clamp and fixing and Hey Presto...bobs ur nan

or you could carefully drill the same size holes each side of the lid, poke the studs through and then put a small washer and chrome wingnut on them to hold it down securely.. now that would look nice..

Here you go...........don't know if you know the cars......Are they on here?...

Do you do chrome bits?

No problem mate, while I was out in the cold and dark digging the pipes out to take a picture of for you I noticed I have a pair of heads in good nick from an NA, not sure if you are thinking about having a go at the engine work yourself or just giving the car to someone to do it, but they are ideal if you want to do it yourself then no need for the car to be off the road. Just a thought Scott.
