I thought £80 was a standard charge?

pk, its not an age related plate, £80 is the set fee, and he cant do anything with your paperwork mate, its safe and id say a good plate for you

especially with your plans

OK with all the above, BUT...............

 

If he's been in business selling registrations since 1986,

1, Why does he state that he'll be sending your details off to the DOT (Department Of Transport)? He should know that he needs to send them off to the DVLA (Driver and Vehicle Licensing Agency) Formally DVLC and NEVER DOT!

2, And they WON'T amend your MOT certificate, they should send, or arrange for, a replacement certificate, as an amended one is thus invalid!!

Really? When I got my plates done the DVLA just stamped my old MOT and wrote down that it had a change of plates.

OK, I stand corrected, but when a previous car of mine had had the reg changed by a previous owner, a new MOT had been issued.

 

Fair enough, if I'm wrong then I hold my hands up :D
