Right thought i'd put up a very rough draft for the planned Euro trip.

 

 

Get into Cologne for 19th June spend 48 hours there taking in the England Football Beer festivle then onto the ring which is only 55 miles from Cologne

 

Few days around the ring then free to do what ever else, those are my basic ideas for now. If we can all agree on this then i'll start looking at the ferrys, earlier we book the cheaper it is

 

The Ferry is working out about £125 each return this includes a inside cabin to kip in

 

I spent almost that getting to Dover & back so £125 is a cracking price, we'll need to book within the next month though i'd say.

Got on this thread way way late and have probably missed the party boat BUT........

I have a place in Hull (so that ferry is damn convenient) and want to meet up with you guys at the ring. My missus is taking her RX8, I will come in the Z which has just been done to perfection by the guys at Ztech (thanks guys). I will use the occasion to publicly unveil my new custom made exhaust :)

My buddy is planning on taking his Elise and we may have a DeTomaso Pantera (if it doesn't break down) with us.

My track day coach is a ringmeister and she is over there regular (testing for prodrive). I was at prodrive today and mentioned the trip she has said that if she is there she can do us a club discount and organise coached laps which will make you way quicker than you would have been and probably help us avoid any tears due to a bent car. :x:

 

So the question? What day(s) are you intending to drive the ring? So we can rendezvous.

Knew this would happen, ferry spaces are either going or gone. We now have to sail to Zebrugger which is no problem and the fare is £20 more, You all need to book this ASAP (TODAY)

The booking company just got back to me about the cologne rooms and they wont sell the rooms to them because of the price and the world cup!!! saying they can get 10 times that price :mad:

 

Anyway she is very kindly searching for other hotels for similar budget starting with towns close to cologne and working her way out so as soon as she calls me i will post it up :)

i have to say with deepest regret i wont be coming guys.

 

i will be having further treatment and tests as the months continue. Also i must add my wife clearly pointed out to me that the baby will only be 5 weeks away from birth.

 

Im at the point where i dont need another illness to interfere with things here and effect things with kelly.

 

I will however be going to jae thats one thing shes happy with. I would have loved to have gone on this trip and seen another country, but i cant afford to put that before my health and wife or baby.

 

i do hope you all have a good time there and i will wait with envy the pictures you take to appear on the forum.
