as some may know, my car has been hit by another. Ive had my mate round today to have a look at it and its a bigger job than i previousely thought, with all the other jobs that need doing (there are quite a lot) do i wait and see what sort of insurance (been qouted to get around 3000 and keep the car) and injuries (prob about 2000) then break my car and with all the money accumilated buy another zed

 

or do i stick with my zed and do all the work i wanted to do, like do repairs (again there are quite a few) and fit a body kit like macs and so on

 

im really losing interest with my previous zed but ive already spent so much time and money on her and love her to bits that i dont know what to do

 

im in two minds and its doing my head in, and on top of all of this i have a house that needs fully refurbing and time is short

 

please help, bearing in mind that this insurance could take months to sort out as the guy who hit me didbnt have insurance and its going through the mib

Like mine was and then you have to either spend £2230 like me or use the bits off your current one which then leaves you wondering why you didn't justfix the one you have (i think the zedassaurous is going to become extinct) :shock:

car is mechanicly sound, and underneath is also sound now that me and me dad spent two days repairing sill's and a bit of welding underneath, i can get the repair done for 200 quid (my mate can do it)

 

some of the people that have been in it have also commented on how well it runs and goes (like shit off a stick)

 

also i dont know how long it will take to get the cash through from the mib (and ourlass wont let me go to the bank and borrow on the strenght of it lol), plus i like the 2+2 not the 2 seater

 

then with the cash i can get my wide arse kit on, it aint a write off cause its a private settlement (it would have only been an economical write off anyway)

 

i hope i have answered all your queries, we will just have to wait and see what the future brings

I waited a year to find a genuine uk spec man with good miles backed up with paperwork, 4 seats and a sound engine. my tubs need replacing at the cost of approx 2k Dont see me srcaping. and its took nearly 9 months of hard saving and a lot of head ake from her indoors. better the devil you know?

as long as the engines reliable id keep it mate, and get it looking just how you want it

ive just had an accident in mine needs new door, rear wing and front wing, quoted 5k

 

im taking the insurance money and keeping the zed my dad is a panel beater so its not too bad, the front wing and rear arch was seamlessly blended into the side skirt no joins anywhere, bugger to do it again

 

pm me bud and when i start the work on mine i will tell you how the rear wing came off!!

fookin ell, this is gragging the past up lol

 

ive already decidec to keep her, just got to wait for the mib to sort some cash, and also send the bloke who crashed into me a little reminder of what will happen if he dont fill insurance forms out lol
