High 13's to low 14's

Sorry, but i dont belive an 11 on stock tubs is possible. Unless he's running shitloads of nitrous.

There are 3 different zed's there on stock tubs in the 11's. Using slicks it seems.

This is the spec of the most recent one : http://www.twinturbo.net/net/directory.aspx?forum=general&user_id=57602

and a vid of it doing a 12.0 sec http://www.zfver.com/vids/1-7-06/300zx-vs-Starlet.wmv

Some good 1/4 mile times....

yep its an interesting site. I have been watching it for a while as there is a separate section for NA times. :)

How does he manage to launch so well in that vid?

A well prepped track and slicks id say!! :D

and its pearl white so naturally its fast ;)

More seriously, looks like he has some big high profile tyres on the back no doubt with low pressure, and looks like real squishy suspension set up for drag.

Just goes to show it not all bhp that counts (although it counts for a lot) but a good suspension and tyre setup is esential, lessons to be learned.

And all the top 10 TT street cars have no external mods (apart from wheels and some stickers :p )

Great time to ask...But does anyone plan/have used Drag radials on their ZX???? (Not for this ZX, but other being worked on)

As traction and the launch is essential for a good time at the Pod, however, dont wanna use if the stock Prop is not strong enough as have seen what can happen when the drag slicks really do their job (though not on a zx) :)

Would hope to get a time of around 13.8 with the basic mods, providing the car isn't spinning the tyres and stepping out at the rear.

13.8 should be easy on slicks, i got a 13.9 in my car running slightly higher boost but with 19s on rock solid suspension, very bad traction

Car and driver magazine got a 13.7 out of a completely stock swb tt manual, on the stock tyres it came with (which are crap tyres compared to todays standards)
