Rad hard pipe

Went out last nite & the bottom hard pipe came off the rad.

The air con went cold. Does the rad do the air con hot ? or is there going to something wrong with that as well?

Neil, the radiator (well the engine actually) supplies the heat to the inside of the car, the air con is used for cooling (and removing moisture), so to answer your question - - if you have a burst radiator hose, you have no hot water to supply the heater matrix below the dash, and therefor no heat.

Hope this helps, M

That is what I thought. Was in a bit of a panic as I thought the heater matrix may have blown up or the rad could not see in the dark last nite were the water came from.

Thanks for your help I feel better now.
