JUst took my zed for an MOT and it failed on a couple of things :( but the most worrying was the emissions test.

My CO reading was at about 5% ?? and I think it should be at about 3%

The tester reckoned that when revved it would have gone up to about 7

It has been drinking the juice latley and occasionally the cat overheat light comes on.

I've seen the thread where you pull the hose to pass the test but I'd like to get this sorted really.

Does anyone know of any DIY diags / steps that I could take to sort this out??

Any help appreciated

Cheers I've seen this which will help if I'm running out of time for the re-test but I'd like to get this sorted as there must be something wrong.

I'll try air filter, plugs and check the ECU for faults is there anything else that obvious to you guys?

also what do they do when "tuning" ???

adjust the fuel mixture check the timing clean your injecters out the other thing you could do is de-cat then they cant overheat :x:

Adjust the Fuel Mixture On A Z32

Mine failed on the same thing and a diag pointed to O2 sensors. Mine have now been replaced and will be going for MOT Tuesday...

as said, O2 sensors is the 1st place to start looking. the ECU has a diagnostic mode 2 that checks the operation of the O2 sensors. can be done with or without a ConZult :)

to get me through the MOT worked a treat

diagnostic mode 2 - what is that ??

do you just mean check error codes on ecu or is this something else?

no, after that mode there is mode 2 - it flashes the ECU light in time with the O2 switching.
