strange prob

when releasing off my accelorater, my car seems to have kangaroo juice init, like when you brake without putting the clutch in, and it jumps about

 

it also hesitates when pulling away, and sometimes sounds like it is missing when just cruising along

 

but if i disconect the tps from the grey connetor plug (whilst engine is running) i get a clicking noise from the back of the engine next to the battery, then i pconnect it back up again and the car runs great with no probs for about 100 miles then gradually gets back to running rough again :confused:

 

anyone got any solutions please
