Hi guys, i'm in the process of doing mine now, do I need to remove the 4 bulbs on the underside of the speedo pod ?? or replace them with blue LED's ??

I've replaced the 4 (501) bulbs on the speedo pod with blue LED's and the fuel warning light with a super bright red LED, now what about the 4 bulbs underneath ??

thanks

Hi mate, I thought there was a problem posted a while back regarding the blue L.E.Ds not lighting the needles as the light was not passing through them, how come your needles are so bright red????????

No need to remove them, and no need to replace them either, I've found absolutley NO difference with them being left as they are. In fact there was a discussion on here a while back regarding these bulbs, and no one knows why they are there, as the clocks arn't front lite anyway

I supose it depends on your camera settings as to whether you see them or not in the photo. As for in real life I've found no problems seeing my needles while driving at night.

thanks mate, I wondered why they were there..... i'll leave them in then...

Having seen pics of the conversion done to other cars, it was a concern. But I went ahead and did it on the zed...and you can see the red needles perfectly :D
