hi guys,

fitted my new blitz sonic induction kit today because my HKS one was really dirty and torn, when i took the rubber t-piece off from under the headlight panel i looked inside and there was a gritty, oily black residue inside the nearside pipe!! :headvswal i could understand if it was in both sides because the HKS filter was torn and not in the best shape but in wasnt, the other side is bone dry and really clean.i took the hard pipe off that my bov is on (nearside also)and its in there too but not gritty, just oily and black!!

Does anyone know what this could be and if my car is on a death sentence??

Please Please help!!!!!

thanks

dont worry! a build up oil is often common and nothing to worry about, can be just a build up in the breather systym, check pcv valves and replace if faulty, but more than often its just oily moisture

just keep an eye on oil levels and smoke from the exhausts then there may be a problem

thanks greg!! thank God for that!! i was having a brown trouser moment!
