Hi all,

When I pull away my car makes a noise when I lift my foot of the clutch, only notice the noise in 1st and 2nd. Could it be the clutch trowout bearings making a noise?

Regards,

Matt

it could well be the release bearing as you say, more than likely due for a new clutch aswell whilst your at it ;)

could also be gearbox layshaft but my moneys on the above, normally a worn layshaft noise dissapears when gearbox gets warm

just a note if you mean your getting this noise whilst driving through 1st and second, sounds like road noise, then it will be a worn rubber cover which may have come loose or split under the gearshift remove centre section and check gators, replace damaged ones,v common

Its like a metallic noise when I pull away an disappears after a second or so or when above a certern amout of revs. The noise happens between 1.5 rpm - 3000 rpm.
