My combi gas boiler is playing up, when I run the hot water it runs hot for a bit then goes cold then hot?? I called someone in to look at just before Xmas and he charged the fookin earth and replaced two rubber diaphrams, but it still did'nt solve it so he said it was the thermostat which he said he would replace in the new year. I am no gas engineer or nothing but I do'nt think its that as the temperature dial shows when its hot on about 80 deg then shows it drops to about 20 deg when it's cold. I think its something to do with the thing actually firing up, because when I run the hot tap and it turns cold the boiler does'nt fire up straight away, then when its firing the temprature goes up and the hot water runs out constant, not with the tap turned on full but with it only on a bit. Its a vey hard thing to put into words but this is as good as I can explain it. Cheers in advance.

Where do I get one of these stickers then?? LOL ;)

A combi boiler should have a guage showing the water pressure in the system.

If the sytem water level/pressure is too low the boiler is prevented from firing up.

The water needs topping up.

Usually there is a tap/valve with a loop of pipe that lets mains water in to the heating system.

Might be your problem.

Phone the Vokera help line,,, they are very good,, their number should be on the boiler instruction book.

Its on 1.5 wich is supposed to be right. But it does fall sometimes for no apparent reason. Also I have just noticed that some water is dripping out from underneath the boiler, not a lot but a bit.

You should talk to Neil Morris preferably before hes hit the bottle, I am sure he could give some advice on this.
