moulding things in carbon fibre

Hi, im looking for a fan shroud but dont want to pay for the carbon one as im planning on spraying it the same red flip colour as my car,

would a fibreglass one be affected by the heat of the engine.

has anyone ever made one and could anyone give me any advice on makeing one or moulding shapes from fibreglass or any other similar product. any advice and coments apreciated.

    thats just what im after, shame its in the US,

    quality battery hold downs aswell.
