I have got a DVD player and screen off ebay, and want it installed. It's this one:

I have been quoted between £80-£150 to install this in my zed.

Is this too much or about right? Is it an 'easy' job?

Thats a lot of labour for 10mins work! Just like installing any car stereo.

 

Remove the 2 screws in Centre console, pull off.

Unscrew cage, pull out.

Remove old stereo and screw DVD screen into Cage

Plug cables in (probably compatable, but if not can get Adaptor from Halfords)

Screw Cage back in

Screw centre console back in

Job Done.

mate if you wern't so far away i would do it myself for free....

my mate got one of these free installs from harry's when he brought his stereo. 3 trips later and a very pissed off mate i said i would do it and he cant stop thanking me ....i had to solder an iso connector into his car then it was simply plug and play.

the only problem i had was the cage which i had to sort which took the most time.

 

 

diy it or get one of us to do it bud .

not as stunning as most its really stock.

i love some of the motors on here. just my bank manager says no.

yeah, it's been delievered. It looks great, will look better in the car tho :D

Installs like a standard radio apart from the handbrake sensor.

if you want to use it whilst moving (NOT LEGAL) take this wire to a good earth wire

Hi guys, got it installed today and it's absolutely amazing! I am really pleased with it! I don't use the screen whilst driving, but the cd player is great as before I had the standard CD and any bump would make it skip

I'll try and get some pictures today. Looks pretty good!

I've also got this exact same one, its very good for the money, altho if you want to use the TV i suggest you get a powered aerial from argos as the standard one is rubbish unless u drive to the top of a hill or have excellent reception.. also make sure the connecters are pushed home well and solid..

 

all in all a good buy and looks very nice in the car, i dont have pics as i havent actually used mine in anger since it was installed...
