Bruce he was the great defier of the "old ways" any man who can interpret something and skin it down to bare bones then make it twice as powerful gets my vote any day !!!

I dunno really, li is a product of movies , he has flashed it up so to say for the cameras whereas bruce initially didnt but had to for recognition if ya know what i mean

Bruce Lee would have kicked he's ar5e no problems. No one has ever been able to match him in talent or quality. Jet Li is good no doubt and I admire him for he's ability but Lee will always be the king.

If it was Jet Li when he started off in films ie his sub title films (which are much better in martial arts aspects than the newer more pblic pleasing films) then it may be close, but Bruce was undoubtedly more powerful and quicker.

 

Would still be a good fight though.

Bruce Lee no contest even though I like Jet Li as well.

Dont forget,they both had/have different skills in Martial Arts,Jet Li is a Wu Shu master,and did stay/study at Shaolin Temple from a very early age till around 17years old,no one has ever been better in 20th century.Bruce Lee was a Kung Fu master,but did incorprate other styles to create his own Martial Arts style,Jun Fan, Jeet Kune, so to me they are/would be equal.

If say they both were 20years old,had a match,Jet Li would of been the more advanced and more skillfull,Lee would loose no question.

Lets not forget Jackie Chan,another Master,who in his prime was considerd the most quickest,even Bruce Lee stated when Chan had a bit part in Fist of Fury(heavly made up as villian that goes backwards through fence in final fight scene after a kick from Lee at the villians house)that he could not believe how quick he was,this spurd him on to get even faster than he(lee) was at that time.I take my hat off to all Master of Martial Arts,truly exceptional athletes.

Training at the shaolin temple since a child is undoubtably awesome but they still do way to much showy stuff that 'would kill the opponent due to my awesome inner power!!' . People like to believe it but it goes out the window when lamped in the face down the pub.

Bruce got martial arts recognised by everyone. his speed and fitness level was truely amazing. he wanted to take his body further. I don't think much of his movies, but as a martial artist i think he is remarkable. I can go on but i won't.

 

Jet li mastered the art of Wushu learning since the age of 8, and has mastered all the levels of wushu (fighting with weapons) some people believe that jet li is as fast as bruce lee. some of the movies they have to slow his actions down i.e. Romeo must die.

 

the think i don't like about jet lee is too much wire work in his movies.

 

I choose Bruce.

Agree with that one, especially when you get glassed in the face by a pint of stella.. A mate of mine who is well into his martial arts and is a 2nd Dan had this done to him / it wasn't pretty and that soon disabled him and put him on his arse.. He's ok now though but just goes to show there are a lot of nasty fookers out there who just have no morals... Going back to the subject though it's gotta be Brucie everytime... Who else can be a Come Dancing and Martial arts Master at the same time???!!

got to be contriversial here - after studying martial arts for a long time & seeing footage of bruce lee & his films iv got to say.......................

 

he's was really not as good as the legend that everyone thinks he is :shock:

 

iv seen better UK fighters TBH

 

he was without doubt amazing at what he done but much of what you see is coreographed (sp?) so take it with a pinch of salt!

 

would have loved to trained with him tho :)
