I've just been for a spin in my boss's new car. he has picked up an Audi RS6 estate.

 

I have been in a few Audi estates in my time and I quite like them. but this one comes with a 4.2 litre V8 twin turbo and 4wheel drive traction. with a little Audi chip it will have 520bhp! :shock:

 

I am very seriously impressed that they have made an estate that will smoke nearly everything away from the lights (especially in the wet).

Just under £60k I believe.

 

I really like them, athough they get a lot of critiscm for vague handling...like most Audi's unfortunatly. Would still have one.

I have always said those things are a fookin beast but so is the pricetag !!!!!!!

I was following one through Germany on a ZX-12R. Thery have some serious welly from 100mph up to about 180.

Audi have always been a nice looking car well over the last 10 years but they have really come a long way and are on a par with merc's and beemers if not better now. My mate in work has got a 2001 A8 V8 4.something and wants 17K for it. Its been chipped and he reckons it will wipe the floor with my 300ZX. He's yet to prove it tho'? "anytime rob" I said. :cool:

An Rs6 would show up a stock TT zed, but the A8 4.2 Would'nt stand a chance. Its more like N/A Zed performance

Thank you bud. My thoughts exactly. One day I'll show him if he dont sell it. But although its a lovely car TV sat nav and all the trimmings it aint worth 17K not to me anyway. My Volvo S80 T6 might not beat him but will give him a run for his money? :bow:

I doubt even an Audi S8 would keep up with a mildly tuned Z, they're 360 bhp but they're also very big and heavy. Chipping them only produces a few more bhp too. I nearly bought one 3 years ago but thought at 4.2 litres it would be too thirsty and had virtually no scope for tuning - LOL. The RS-6 will kick ass though!

heard/saw one going full chat down the high street back in Dec....awsome sound

2nd hand can be bought for @£40k....would seriously consider this as a zed replacement should the moment come

The Veyron engine is actually 2 x RS6 blocks stuck together. (8.4 litre W16 quad turbo).

 

After riding in the RS6 I can't even begin to imagine how quick the Veyron would be... :shock:

i love the audi, did think of the rs4 for a bit, then i got an insurance quote for it, so that was the end of that.

i wish :rolleyes: its the a6 1.8t made to look like an rs6 really does turn heads, one love to own the real thing one day the s6 is no slouch 350 bhp na v8 engine with all the looks of the rs6 very nice and iirc bout £16k if your lucky to find one :shock:
