cheers bud yeh i use aol to :x: it is shit though  time for a change, might go pipex

ehh mike if you check that IP PM with who it is :D

How do you know they tried to get into your account? Could it be someone with an IP scanner just chancing his luck? I have done that many times and had some right good fun with it...lol

I found a guy who had shares set up so I was in like a rat up a drainpipe. FOund all of his credit card details on his PC so I created a file called.."I came, I saw, I poked around but didn't touch anything - I would look at your security mate.txt" on his drive... I hope he found it and paid attention because next time it could be someone with less scruples...

didn't mean to offend :D The trouble with AOL is the software, as far as i know the service is good, and one of the higher ranking UK providers. The software however embedds itself into all sorts of nooks and crannys on your pc and you can never quite get rid of it all. And when you 'uninstall' all hell (hence AOHELL) breaks loose. They are ArsehOLes and gennerally a bummer as far as your PC is concerned!

ntl...no software requried but the service is pants..... so best bet would be to look at the recent broadband thread and see that every provider has been recommended and dissed and after all 347 posts you are still none the wiser as to which provider to choose

Apologies for rambling, just has a spliff :nana2:
