ahhh.. PTU Harness help pls

I've had what I believe to be possible PTU failure symptons lately..so went to remove PTU today and swap it with the one of my Wifes NA......but when I removed one of the big block connectors on my PTU some of the pins from the PTU snapped inside the connector and the rest looked pretty corroded :headvswal :headvswal

Its the Connector that plugs into the Left hand side of the PTU when standing at front of car facing engine bay.

I tried to follow the harness to see where it went, but it started raining heavily.

Where does the harness go to, can I unplug it from wherever it goes to and replace that whole harness easily ?

there should be one in pj's from my old engine mate, that will give you an idea on where and how it connects, if its there, and i know its fine, then take it

As long as the other end of the harness is unplugable from somewhere reachable..anyone know ?

The wiring for the ptu is part of the EFI harness, you will need to remove the whole harness to do a complete swap. Best bet would be to repair the damaged wires.

yup! if you get a series2 PTU then that comes with a loom that you plug in to your existing connectors. you could just cut & solder the wires if you go that route.
