I've had three old blokes I know quite well see my car and tell me they really don't like the Japanese because of the war.

I guess they have good reasons so I feel kind of bad when they tell me that.

I know it was a long time ago etc and it certainly doesn't put me off owning the car.

Just wondered if anyone else had run into this situation?

But other than that, most older blokes dont like mine because of how loud it is!! So they tell me!! :D

My uncle (rip) was captured by the japs, was branded

on his face! Always had a beard since i knew him, only

recently found that out.

Presumably they dont like german cars either ?

One had a Merc and was married to a Jewish lady.

My grandad drives a ford, and his brother drives a yaris..... so conflicting views there! Just thinking of old people i know....erm....we have .... ford....toyota......rover.....vauxhall.....rover.......rover.......vauxhall.....kia....rover...daihatsu....rover...honda....ford......rover and finally great uncle bill and his trusty old triumph!

Spot the common make in there? All these people are various relatives aged over 65 as far as i know.

My Grandad, he died back in 76.

He was a prisoner of war in Japan for three years and was tortured every week, anything that was made in Japan he threw out the house and would not have any thing to do with any thing that came from there.

He would turn in his grave if he knew how much I loved my car

It would be foolish to forget the wars any of them. But to remember so as not to do it all again?

I wonder how many of those old blokes know how many japanese components are used in the TV and video's they watch? Among other Jap parts used in everyday things we use? :smash:

I think we should "NIP" it in the bud.... :slap:

well most nissans are built all over the world today, all the primeras, micras and almeras you see were built over here and the company is owned by the french now so not a lot of Jap left in it to be honest..
