More Clutch problems

Have recently fitted the st/st braided clutch hose and a new clutch master cylinder piston/seal kit. Was all okay for a while but now i am getting variable pressure when pressing the clutch down.

Some times it feels like there is asistance other times none.

Do you think i've got a leak on the booster pipes?

Could it be air trapped in the system?

Or worse?

Any help is greatly appreciated. Ta

Sounds like you have air in the system. There are two bleed points on the zed one under the bonnet on the left hand wheel arch by the P/S pot and one on the gear box, make sure you bleed system from both points.

Had similar problem myself turned out to be a leaking diapraghm in the clutch boost system... HTH.

Cheers Dave, did you have to replace the whole lot (expensive from what i understand?) or was it one small part?

Also it seems fine most of the time, till i put my foot down and the boost rises, then the peddle gets heavier. Is there some restrictor in the system that stops all the pressure going into the clutch booster?

There's a t shaped pipe comes off the engine, somewhere near the back left as you look at the engine. What I did is disconnect the bit that goes to the clutch boost & block off the T. What happens is that your clutch just feels a bit heavier but it stops it slipping & means that you arent losing vacuum in the brake system, which is what happened to me! (The other part of that "T" mentioned earlier goes to brake assist). You can replace the diagpraghm but have been told its a £200 plus job to do & all it does is make the clutch lighter...
