To the anoyance of my fellow Midlands Zedders at the Bubble meet recently, I neglected to bring my camera with me :headvswal I'd left it sat on the bed and completely forgot to pick it up :headvswal

Well my little old Fuji A202, 2 Mega Pixel, Non-Zoom is going into retirement now, as I've just bought a replacement :D .........................

This little beauty..........................

It's the Fuji S9500 Zoom, 9 Mega Pixel, 28-300mm Zoom lens.

It's a nice bit of kit, and I can't wait to try it out at all the shows next year

Also for the shows next year, I've bought this little gem aswell (as I lost my last camcorder when I split from the wife)

dvd202.gif

It's the Sony DCR-DVD202 DVD Camcorder. Records in Widescreen and directly onto mini DVD discs.

As my show footage didn't get very far this year, I'm hoping to do a lot more shows next year, combined with both of the above to produce a very professional DVD later next year for sale.

Armed with a new, much more powerfull, computer I'll be taking my DVD production to a new, far better, quality level.

I've always liked the Fuji cameras, I've still got my old Fuji SLR (cant remember the model now) I've even got a couple of lenses for the old one aswell.

You cant even start to compare my old one to this new one...

This ones got the same size zoom lens that I've got for my old SLR, so it should be interesting what I can take ;)

hope your happier with it than me m8

bought one when they first hit the market, and bought it for when we went on our cruise, daytime it was perfect, when we filmed our son in the talent contest, luckily we used both or cam corders, i say lucky because the sony we already had (dcr-hc30e) kicked its arse, the film from the night club was pants, even the night shot mode came out closer to black and white, as i say just glad we used both cams otherwise would have lost a once in a lifetime film, also found it a pain when trying to swop discs quickly, takes an age to access the new disc, apart from that lol its a good cam'

looking at buying the jvc hd cam-corder now, but i want to see it in action first lol

........ even the night shot mode came out closer to black and white, ....

Well I've been playing with mine today (the cam  ) and the NightShot mode is in infrared, so it will be in Black & White! As in "The Blair Whitch Project" and "Decent".

Well so far it seems OK, and well up to the job of what I'll want it for, which is recording the kids at xmas, and filming Zed action at the various shows next year. Gona get another battery and a few discs.

Also been playing with the Fuji........ It's got a lot of buttons :D And up untill I was playing with it did I realise that it's got a built-in flash. None of the sales bunf mentioned it at all, and no pics anywhere either (even Fuji's web site doesn't mention it) Glad I bought a larger xD card aswell, even though my 2 x 128Mb cards were more than enough before, this thing eats storage space, so I got a 256Mb one for now, might even get a 512Mb one later.

actually thats NOT what the specs/write ups say m8

An advanced version of Sony's NightShot Infrared system that allows users to record natural color images in low-light conditions, but without the blurring common with other lowlight recording systems.

unless i'm completely reading it wrong, as i said apart from that does the job it says, just not the ones i want lol

(if you want some mini-discs m8 let me know and will send some, you can have them, i have a FEW lol)

By thesounds of that, you're not reading it wrong  I don't know, we'll see :D
