My hard drive managed to do itself over last night and ALL my stuff for Big Witch has gone. :rant: :(

 

All the audio and video for the christmas single has been lost so we wont be releasing it this year. :headvswal

 

I know all of you will be gutted and we will be opening up a hotline for those in need to talk to someone about their pain (Take That styleeee).

 

Good news is we have three new songs written and more planned for next years recordings.

 

Pluss the posibility of us playing at JAE (any news Rich?)

Anythings recoverable mate unless you took out the hard drive out and smashed it with a hammer (fully understandable ;) )

Nick first of all, DONT SAVE OR DOWNLOAD ANYTHING!!!! the same happened to me a couple of weeks ago and i managed to recover about three quarters of my lost stuff myself almost for free!!!!! you'll be getting pm in a minute!

Cheers guys, HDD is dead to the world. Stuck head on it. Wont even detect its there. Got a few things at work to try (im a computer enginer of 8 years) will let you know how it goes.

Might be worth paying for a pro to get the data off. Looked into this for a friend back when we were students... trouble was it was going to cost £400, and that was back in 1998, so no idea what it would cost now.

Was hoping Big Witch we're gonna beat whoever wins X-Factor tomorrow night to the christmas no 1 slot...:( :rant: Come on Nick Sort it out!!!

Try the old trick of sticking it in the freezer for an hour or so mate..

 

As said above & i'm sure your aware - unless the Hard disk as been wiped Securely or wiped over with a magnet anything is recoverable.

BTW depending on the size of the hard disk - Professional services last time i checked were around £800 for a 60GB 2.5" drive to give you an idea.
