god i used to hate metalwork at school but i really enjoyed the bit i did today armed with my trusty angle grinder electric drill can of wd40 and various attachments i managed to do this just the final polishing to go

get yourself a buffer kit now mate, just make sure all the ruff stuff is off, if you need a hand getting hold of a set my local DIY sells them for about £10 i can get one for you if you want.

looking good so far, just be careful you dont polish to deep, i made that mistake.

the first stage which was sanding it down with the angle grinder was about 2 1/2 hours but the plenum was half done when i got it then a further 4 hours to the stage in the pics, final polishing not sure till i start it

thanks for the pffer mate but i've already got on on the way,cant wait for it to arrive now

i did my hole plenuim in 2 days solid mate, its hard going, the pros must have better tools than you can buy in the shops, mines shiney as hell now, you do have to keep on top of it though mate, water marks etc etc etc.

it prob will be by the time i finish then can get cas and throttle bodies done when car goes in for engine work

i just used a ruber backing disc with a normal sanding disc both should be available from any tool store screwfix direct do them online also

i'm not even taking my own off to fit the polished one gettin someone else to do it though might polish my old one when it comes off :D

I think I prefer the black powder coated route.
