NZR - Madza MX6 2.5 v6

Guys

A mate of mine is thinking about buying one. Does anyone have any experience of these regarding reliability etc.

Also do you know of a friendly BBS like this one wink.gif but for the mx6

He would get a 300 but needs something more practable with the family and all.

Cheers

A friend of mine run one for about 3 years as his company car, before the Lexus. Never missed a beat, and sold it with 150,000 miles on the clock still running well with no oil usage.

So as long as the receipts are there for service history the car should be good.

Leigh.

My friend has one but it's had a fair few things wrong with it. Then again he doesn't service it properly, regularily.

Nice though!

What a coincidence, I'm thinking about selling the Z and trading down to an MX6 myself and would be very interested in any websites. Yeah, I know I'll miss the Z but I can always buy another one if its too much to bear. Its for cost/practicality reasons as I'm still paranoid about how much it will cost if the turbos give out.

He he.Don't forget that the MX6 is just a Ford Probe in drag!..or is it the other way round? biggrin.gif

Hi...

I had one before my current car. A very nice car to drive, steering is very responsive and the engine is very smooth.

On the down side petrol consumption is bad for the performance and they can be very expensive if they go wrong.

The other way round I think.. I actually used to have a soft spot for the probe because of it's looks.. Then I read how poor the engine (even the 2.5V6) is, and changed my mind.. (The Mazda probably has different engines)

Gav , go and do some bloody work instead of posting(watch out Phil is behind you)..oh I forgot u only do overtime! he he

Nope, same engines due to the Ford & Mazda made in heaven collaboration/ownership etc.

I used to watch Mazda 121's being built on the Fiesta production line at Ford in Dagenham. Just a Fester rebadged as a Mazda 121...ROFL biggrin.gif

I dunno, what's the point behind just rebadging a Ford to sell as a Mazda FFS???

Can picture the conversation in a pub between two guys. "Well my Mazda 121 is a Jap car mate and therefore is bound to be more reliable than your Fiesta!"...no it's not you muppet! It's not built in Japan by clever, slanty eyed short people. It's thrown together by a factory full of ethnic mongrels in the shite hole that is Dagenham!!! LMFAO biggrin.gif

Nico: Nah, he has a fading red one. If it fades any more it'll look pink!

Is there a red one in out Car Park?

Pete

... I meant silver! ;-)

The Mazda/Ford scenario is the same with Rover/Honda

The 2xx series WAS the Concerto or whatever!!!!!! Identical.

I think it's disgusting.

Not entirely mate, Ford virtually owns Mazda whereas Honda were scraping Rover outta the shitty depths of Satans toilet and back to some form of positive image! LMFAO biggrin.gif

Looking back on it Rover selling out to Bimmer was the worst fucking move they EVER made and Honda were in the wings! Absolute British car manufacturing MUPPETS of the CENTURY!!! wink.gif
