Hello 300ZX Members,

I work for MotorSport Vision who own Brands Hatch, Oulton Park, Cadwell Park, Snetterton and Bedford Autodrome.

We now run our own trackdays under the banner of Club MSV and have started running our own Novice track days at Brands Hatch, the next of which is on the 15th January. It is an ideal opportunity to sample what being out on circuit is all about for only £79.

The day is strictly for novices and will include:

· Free helmet hire (Normally £10)

· An on-track briefing pointing out key points of the circuit as well as covering vehicle preparation, track etiquette and racing lines.

· Brake boards and cones around the circuit to help master the track effectively

· Additional briefings and a Q and A session after your first 20 minutes out on track.

· Limited to a maximum of 25 cars on circuit (Normally 36).

· Experienced instructors on hand throughout the day, offering advice and in-car tuition.

· 2 hours of circuit time.

You don’t need a special car to take part; all cars are welcome.

Have a look at the link below for more details:

http://www.motorsportvision.co.uk/300zx

If you are a regular track day attendee then we also provide several other track days to cater for you. Click on the link above and this will take you straight through to the track day calendar which has all the dates we have available.

Please feel free to give me a call if you have any queries.

Thanks

Alex Baker

Do you need a full driving licence to go on track? If not then i might bring the cossie down, would deffo give some of the zeds on here a run for their money :D Not as classy though, and has a chav reputation :(

Also i would assume there is fuel available on site as in 2 hours i could get through 3 tanks of fuel

keep us posted on the other dates! wont be ready for the jan date, but def up for this!

i did the track day at brands last year by 'msv' and 'trc (i think) magazine' and it was very well organised. lots of track time, nice holding areas for when your not running, and friendly atmosphere. recomend it to anyone!!! (luvly bacon butties ;) )

I am sure one of the conditions on race tracks is production of a D/L, unfortunately.

Hello Again 300ZX Members,

Firstly, thank you for such a great response to the Novice Trackday posting. I hope that I can continue to provide you with some useful information about our track days starting with our plans for 2006.

Our Novice Days have proved very popular and I hope that if anyone attended one at Brands Hatch that they thoroughly enjoyed themselves. We have decided that due to the popularity, we will now offer our Novice Only Days at our other circuits around the country as well as continuing them once a month at Brands Hatch.

The first Novice Day for Snetterton, near Norwich, will be held on the 3rd March

Oulton Park in Cheshire will have their first Novice Day on the 10th March.

There will also be Novice dates for Cadwell Park this summer.

As well as the novice events, we provide a range of track days, available to drivers of all experience, with separate sessions for different abilities, and open pit lanes on selected dates. Bedford Autodrome will provide some of the open pit lane events the first of which is on January 14th 2006.I am also trying to arrange a Japanese Car Trackday in association with a magazine, so watch this space!

If you would like some more information on trackdays or the dates we have available then check out our website which can be found at:

http://www.motorsportvision.co.uk/300ZX

Alternatively if you would like to contact me with any questions then please feel free, my email address and direct number are below. I hope to see you all at one of the circuits in 2006 but for now Happy Christmas and all the best for the New Year.

I've done one of these Novice half days at Brands, excellent event, my only criticism would be that not all of the participants were novices, admittedly most were but the guy in a £300K+ Porsche GT was definately not! He was a bit of a PITA at times. Might be something for you to take on board there Alex.

Looking at the calender there are dates that look very tempting - I want to do Cadwell sooooo badly.

Tim

I would be up for it but I have a specific question

Which one of your tracs has a decent strait? Im looking to hit 200mph or pass it.

If it is a long straight that you are after then Bedford Autodrome is your answer. It is one of the longest trackday circuits in the UK and has a hugely long straight to achieve these high speeds.

I am defo interested in a track day of some sort. I am a ZX noob and need an insight in how to handle the car on bendy stuff. Some guidance would be great.
