Something that's been bugging me for a while now was the fried egg effect on my bumper indicators.

Not just a simple bulb swap, but fun and games removing a large orange bubble from inside the lens.

As you can see, they have a rather nasty orange glow to them even though the indicators themselves are clear.

Easy job to do. I know there's a how2 and most know how, but this is what I did.

The filter is attached to a little bit of flimsey silver foil, get a screw driver and punch both of these through so they are free from the unit itself. Get a small pair of pliers and a stilson, and start breaking it up. Eventually it'll be broken up enough to just fall out the apperture.

Takes 5 mins per side. Just get some silvertec bulbs and it's done. :)

Done mine 3 years ago, looks much better without the orange.

Now you both just need to update your sig pics and your sorted!! ;)

no need for a new photo...

I must do this too. Did it on my black TT, and it looked way better - just haven't got round to it on the shortie yet (still got orange side indicators FFS!) :mac1:
